Teacher Anna Tabo

Teacher Anna is a licensed preschool educator with 8 years of experience. She graduated with a Bachelor of Elementary Education, major in Preschool Education at Assumption College, Makati.  Her first six years of teaching was at a progressive school in Makati City, where she handled nursery students of different nationalities. In that environment, she learned how one’s culture can influence a child’s outlook and behavior. She also learned to give importance to the fact that a strong teacher-parent relationship leads to improved goals and outcomes for the students.

At Mindbuilders Preschool where she is on her second year, Teacher Anna is happy to have found a community that ignites her passion for teaching. She is assigned to handle pre-nursery (Beethoven Tots), but also teaches other classes in both lower and upper preschool when needed. 

Teacher Anna believes that teaching preschoolers lays a foundation that is crucial in the students’ lives. The role of play is important at this stage. Thus, play-based activities are what foster creative thinking. She keeps this in mind when working on her lesson plans, ensuring that she includes activities that will allow the students to play and love learning.

Teacher Anna likewise believes in creating a classroom environment that encourages friendship, responsibility, generosity, teamwork and respect. She considers these virtues essential to a child’s growth, so she sees to it that her students experience learning moments where these are applied.  She aims for the children in her care to develop a healthy outlook as well as a sense of purpose.

Lastly, she believes that learning never stops - it is a journey that continues to the end of one’s life. So even with her years of experience, Teacher Anna is willing to learn more to fully master her craft and be able to provide for the student’s needs. For her, a competent teacher is a confident one.
