Teacher Jaja Pefanio
Brahms Level (Nursery) and Lower Preschool Coordinator
Teacher Jaja graduated with academic excellence in her bachelor's degree in psychology from Universal College of Parañaque. She has been teaching at Mindbuilders Preschool for six years, during which she has taught the nursery level (Brahms Level and Mozart Juniors) and pre-kindergarten level (Vivaldi Virtuosi). Her adaptability and versatility have allowed her to successfully handle various teaching formats, including face-to-face, synchronous, asynchronous, and hybrid classes. After serving as a Level Coordinator for a year, she has since been promoted to the position of Curriculum Coordinator for Lower Preschool.
Teacher Jaja began her journey at Mindbuilders Preschool in the summer of 2019, managing the Enrichment Program for 2- to 3-year-olds. Since then, she has earned the trust of the administration to lead a class every summer break, both online and in-person.
The pandemic was one of the most challenging times for the education industry, but Teacher Jaja remained committed to nurturing her students’ minds. As Mindbuilders Preschool adapted and innovated during this time, she passionately enhanced her skills to ensure that every child received the quality education they deserve — in a Mindbuilders way. During the pandemic, she not only fulfilled her role as a teacher but also became an actress, scriptwriter, director, video editor, and IT expert, creating engaging online lesson videos and delivering live classes for both her synchronous and asynchronous classes. While it was a demanding experience, it proved that nothing is impossible with dedication.
And it is with dedication that Teacher Jaja continues to learn more about teaching, having attended a workshop about Positive Discipline from Sept. 17-20, 2024. The 4-day workshop was hosted by the Las Piñas Council for the Protection of Children. Teacher Jaja shared her learnings afterwards in an echo seminar with the school’s teachers and staff. Her passion for sharing knowledge with others, whether co-teachers or nursery students, is boundless.
