Teacher Melody David

Teacher Melody Valenzuela-David strongly believes that educators - not just those by profession but genuine educators whose passion for teaching runs in their blood - have one thing in common:  to help a child grow, bloom, inspire, and bring out the best in them.

Teacher Mel was born in Parañaque City. A pure Manileña who has been married to an Aklanon for 28 years, she and her husband are blessed with four children.  She loves her family and merits the values taught to her by her parents.

​

These values have led Teacher Mel to where she is now. She used to dream of becoming a teacher when she was young. Her passion to be surrounded by children made a huge impact on her existence. She took up and graduated from an education course, which put her close at hand with impressionable, young individuals. 

In fact, she has been teaching for almost two decades now - sixteen years of which she devoted to a traditional school, and the rest in a Montessori-like progressive school. During those years, Teacher Mel engaged in and witnessed different experiences, different challenges, different children and different rapport.

All the differences and challenges taught her various things, leaving a strong impression upon her head and her heart. Differences, plus resiliency, plus acceptance as well as devotion, motivated her to work even harder. Such hard work in feeding young children who are hungry to learn has become Teacher Mel’s scheme. She also began to understand how essential teachers are in the world.

​

Teacher Mel considers it a great opportunity to continue her teaching journey at Mindbuilders Preschool.  She appreciates the way teachers are trained to provide hands-on activities for their students, making them learn in the most ideal way. She feels that such experiences will essentially aid her and her students to work together and achieve their goals.​​
