Teacher Moira Antonio has been an early childhood educator for two years and currently teaches the Mozart Juniors (Nursery Level). Last school year, she also taught the Chopin Seniors (Kindergarten Level). She graduated Magna Cum Laude from De La Salle University – Manila and has been part of the Mindbuilders Preschool family since her internship. During that time, she conducted a research project focused on meeting the social and emotional learning needs of children through play. With the notable results from her
study, Mindbuilders Preschool adopted her work into a program called People Smart: Building Skills for the Heart—a play-based program that promotes self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship skills in children.

In the classroom, Teacher Moi brings a variety of teaching strategies into her lessons, using interactive games, arts and crafts, music, and movement to keep learning fun.

Her approach to teaching centers around the philosophy that children learn best through play and makes sure that her teaching approaches are designed to meet different learning styles. Whether it’s through hands-on tasks, stories, or sensory play, she ensures that each child feels engaged and gains confidence in their abilities.

Beyond academics, Teacher Moi places great importance on social and emotional learning. She helps children build essential skills such as self-awareness and healthy relationships with peers, believing that these are the foundation for becoming well-rounded individuals. She also values close collaboration with parents, knowing that strong home-school partnerships are key to each child’s success.

For Teacher Moi, the most rewarding part of teaching is seeing children’s “aha” moments—when they grasp new ideas and life skills—and watching friendships blossom in her classroom. She loves witnessing their curiosity and self-discovery, making every small achievement a cause for celebration. In her free time, she enjoys playing musical instruments and exploring new ways to bring music into her lessons. Teacher Moi is deeply committed to fostering not just academic growth, but also nurturing a love for learning that inspires her students to explore the world with open hearts and minds.
